In this video tutorial series designed for the new or beginner synth sound designer, synth pro Josh Bess shows you how to make 10 useful synth sounds using the Novation Circuit Mono Station. You can use the info on any real or virtual synthesizer, and you get both quick and dirty tutorials for those who want just the steps to take to make the sounds, as well as versions that are more detailed and include tips and tricks!
Josh begins by welcoming you and goes over what the video series covers, and then hits the ground running with the first synth sound, the Saw Pluck. You'll then see how to make a Acid Bass, Detuned Saw Pluck, Dark Bass Pluck, Smooth Sub Bass, Video Game Blip, Wobble Bass, Deep Drone Bass, Detuned Pitch Drop, and Smooth Saw Lead, all from scratch.
The first half of the series gives you the fast steps to take to make all of these sounds, so you can easily follow along, followed by videos that make the same sounds again, but this time contain more information as to why and how Josh is making them, and includes some tips and tricks as well.
