Groove3 u-he Presswerk Explained TUTORiAL
In this video tutorial series, studio guru Brock Jon shows you the ins and outs of u-he's amazing compressor Presswerk, as well as how to use it on your instruments!
Brock starts with an introduction to Presswerk, and a brief background of software developer u-he.
From there, Brock reveals all the controls you'll find in Presswerk, diving deep into the Compression, Dynamics, Mix, and Meter sections. That leads into an exploration of Presswerk's sidechain and saturation circuits.
Next, Brock shows you how you can use Presswerk to add punch to both individual drum tracks and the drum bus, as well as how to thicken the mix by using Presswerk on bass.
After that, Brock applies Presswerk to three groups of guitar tracks, showing you how Presswerk's different circuits can affect the sound differently. Finally, he demonstrates how to use Presswerk on the master bus as a limiter, to really make your mix sound huge!
