Nick Paul, multi-instrumentalist and member of indie-electro band St. Lucia, serves up his second Splice pack. Drawing inspiration from lo-fi pioneers like J Dilla, A Tribe Called Quest, Madlib, and The Pharcyde, this pack oozes cool while embracing the nostalgia of fuzzier times, sonically. Paul leaned on harmonies derived from soul and jazz while adding a modern twist, then combining them with the warm, crackling sounds of analog tape machines.
You'll find spacey, atmospheric loops; a wide range of melodic loops featuring keys, sax, and synths; live and programmed drums from vintage samplers; and more. These sounds feel both fresh and classic, satisfying all those weekend morning cravings - savory and sweet. Hope you're hungry because this pack is delicious.
