Jarell Perry is back on Splice sharing his sublime vocals that transcend moods and mundanity, transporting us to a place of pure joy and beauty. These harmonies emote a delicate power that's hard to describe. They'll soften the jagged edges of your productions while commanding attention with their epiphanic qualities.
We recorded his performance at Aura Studios in Brooklyn with a simple signal chain. We ran a Bock 47 microphone through an Avedis Audio Ma5 pre-amp and Tubetech CL1B. We left some of the loops and one-shots raw and used VocalSynth to layer and lace the rest.
