There’s a lot that goes into Dubstep sound design and creating that first bass hit in your drop is extremely important. With so many aspiring Dubstep producers out there, it’s important that you immediately grab the attention of your audience and get their head bouncing immediately.
In this tutorial, Tascione will use Serum to show you how to remake a similar sounding bass to the one in the epic track, “Sahara”, by Soltan. This complex, commanding bass sound is sure to capture your listeners and immediately draw them in.
While this is a recreation of a preexisting sound, knowing the steps taken and techniques used to get there are important and will help you design many other types of sounds. So turn some knobs, press some buttons, and have fun!
