In this three-part class, I will take you step by step through how to start as a working musician. I will be sharing with you everything I wish someone had told me when I started. You will save tons of time and research by taking this class!
I've been an actively-gigging musician for about 15 years, but within the last few years I have become a serious, working independent musician. Over the past 4 years I have taken numerous workshops from experts on various aspects of developing into a music artist. This three-part class is a clear and concise summary on exactly what you need to know to do what I've done.
Part 1: Business Aspects will cover why you should treat your music like a business, how to do so, how to get started, what to track, how to set up your music budget, and what you need to know about taxes.
Part 2: Branding, Web Presence, Gigs, I will cover how to brand yourself as an artist, making yourself more memorable to those who see you. I will also cover what type of web presence you should have and how to start gigging.
Part 3: Getting your Music Heard, I will share the steps on getting your music heard, from recording to distribution to promotion. I will also share about ways to begin "monetizing" your music so you have more income at your disposal.
