Welcome to 8Dio’s New Advanced Guitar Series – a quantum leap in acoustic sampling. Everything is designed to be highly intuitive, easy-to-use and most importantly completely realistic. It simply just works.

The 8Dio Advanced Guitar Series: “Guitale” is a hybrid guitar-ukulele instrument with a soft and emotional tone to it. The instrument (also known as Kiku) is a crossbreed between a classical 6-string nylon guitar and a baritone ukulele. You get the more precise and tight sound of the classical guitar – combined with the more gentle characteristics of the ukulele.

At the core our of New Advanced Guitar Series is two parallel sample engines. The engines support each solo guitar and strum-based guitar.The idea is to let the engines do the work, while you do the driving. The solo engine is based around a variety of new recording techniques – that gives you completely realistic and fluent legato/hammer transitions on overlapping notes and a variety of additional AI triggered x-noises. The strum engine allows you to virtually create any rhythm and chord you could dream of. The engine is designed as a step-based sequencer and is incredibly easy and intuitive to use.

The end-result is the ultimate sample design for 100% authentically sounding guitars. Whether you want to play a fast acrobatic solo or create an advanced strum pattern – you can do it all.

Intuitive and Advanced

Advanced Guitar Series Guitalele is incredibly flexible, intuitive and easy-to-use. You can literally just sit down and play it. All the main controls are available on the front of the interface. So whether you want to control the fret noises of fingers moving across strings, adjust the volume of fingers letting go of the strings, adding real-time strums to chords using our advanced strumming engine. It is all right there at your fingertips. We included all common articulations, including non-vibrato sustains, vibrato sustains, muted shorts, harmonics and our advanced, yet easy-to-use strum engine.

Solo Engine

The Guitalele Solo Engine gives you a completely life-like instrument right at your finger tips. The idea is to let the engine do the work, while you do the driving. It simply just works and produces a completely realistic result right off the keys. You can choose between non-vibrato sustains, vibrato sustains, muted and harmonic articulations. The engine also gives you control over elements such as release trigger tails, x-noise fret artifacts and additional ability to control the vibrato intensity. We also added purge functions for those who want to save memory in the patch and ability to assign keyswitches.

Strum Engine

The Guitalele Strum Engine gives you full control over all aspects of strumming. We essentially created a whole new system for deep-sampling strumming and the end-result is the most flexible and realistic strumming technology in existence. You have virtually any chord you can think of. Control over strumming swing, speed, rate and steps. In addition to a easy-to-use strum based sequencer – allowing you to create virtually any rhythm, any chord and any time-signature desired. The Strum Engine also contains a strum pattern library and the ability to load/save specific patterns you’ve created.

Pedal Effects

The Guitalele also contains a large section of pedal effects relevant to the instrument. We’ve included Compressor, Three-Band EQ, Chorus, Rotator and Phaser. The idea is to give you access to effects in the same sense a guitar player would have in reality. Everything is chained and lined up beautifully – giving you the opportunity to shape the sound exactly how you want it. If this isn’t enough … we’ve also included the latest iteration of our Chaos Effects, which gives you a wealth of options, including effects randomization of over 1500 parameters.

Chaos Effects

The Guitalele includes both pedal-based effects and our deep Chaos Effects. The Chaos Effects offers you additional control and access to FX. We’ve included our Chaos Filters, which also includes step-based filter sequencing. EQ, Degrader with Bit-Crusher and Distortion. Stereo-Delay made from two Parallel Delays and two types of convolution reverb. Including our alternative Transform convolutions and classic Reverb, which contains a large catalogue of custom room impulses. The Chaos Effects also contains built-in randomizers – letting fate rolls its dice on the instrument.
