Groove 3 Moog Sub37 Explained TUTORiAL
The Sub37 Tribute Synthesizer is one of Moog's modern classics, and synth and sound Design guru Sami Rabia dives deep into this analog vessel, exploring every aspect of it and showing you how to create your own patches from scratch. This is the most comprehensive video series available about the Moog Sub37!
After a general introduction, Sami demonstrates how to navigate, load, and save presets directly from the hardware interface, and then shows you around the global menu, and all of its options.
Sami then delves into every aspect of the oscillator section, including Sync, keyboard reset, and Duo mode, and then delivers a detailed look at the envelopes, including the extra delay and hold stages, as well as knob shift parameters.
The filter and mixer sections are next up, and Sami makes sure you understand the Sub37s filtering, gain staging, and saturation options. The Mod Bus is then revealed, showing you how to use it as an LFO and a modulation matrix, and more. The sequencer feature is then explained both on the hardware unit and with the included software editor for tons of sequencing joy.
Now for the fun part, sound design! Sami explains and explores the Sub37 editor inside out and demonstrates how to build from scratch, a bass sound, lead sound, and an aggressive effect sound, making full use of the Sub37's saturation capabilities.
