In this weeks tutorial we took a break from requests and did a beat that is all original. The beat is based on an opportunity to submit beats for Kendrick Lamar's new album and creating a vibe that we felt would fit that. This was one of the tracks submitted and this particular track showcased a lot of the techniques we talk about in the videos but haven't fully explained, so I wanted to take a minute and break this down for our members.
What's Included?
The full tutorial is 13 parts and goes really into depth on how to create a groove and the thought process behind a beat so that you do not get stuck in not finishing things. We share a few different ways on how to catch a vibe to feed off and other tips that should make the whole process of creating beats more fun and a bit less stressful for some. In addition to that, we obviously cover every aspect of the track, from drums to VST's used, effect racks, sequencing and more. We also focus a lot of new drum techniques we haven't shown that have a bit more of an old school feel.
