On the front cover this month is Cubase 8, the latest version of Steinberg’s DAW software which incorporates powerful tools from Nuendo, and features such as VCA faders and the ability to render audio in place.

In our Inside Track feature this month, we interview producer Rob Kirwan and discover that it was a focus on the track’s least commercial elements that helped make it a hit.
