The Third in a series focussed on getting you there quickly. This series revolves around the famous NV pedigree Featuring overlapping and interacting bands this package takes away the need to use many instances of Nebula to get a biting, cutting, silky, airy sound, bright sound. Combining two extra ordinary analog processors – the BAE 1073 and the RND 5033 this library was made by using the Bootsie modded DI and fashioned with the EQ using real vocals for reference to cover a wide range of situations. Get your de-essers out, a transparent eq to carve around and load one of these to have your vocals sit high above the music. The better your mics the better your results – brighter microphones may cause issues so natural sounding recordings sound best. Although there are two groups – male and female the presets are interchangeable – try and see what works.

The real action is not in my eqed settings however which are rather colourful. I have included a truly stunning flat un-eqed preset with eq engaged on all bands for you to ‘mix into’ for this specific purpose – trust me it is just the ticket to mix into or even just use all on its own because it has that character – good enough for placing on many channels. It is in the female vocs section. So go out and get the total freedom for your own sound.
Vocal sounds are deeply specific and the degree of usefulness of the library is linked to the type of vocal sound you already have, the fidelity of the recording, microphone type and the type of genre so experiment to taste. The eqed presets may not work on every voice you record but may just be the ticket for many. For those that require your signature – use the flat preset. You will NOT be disappointed
