Impact: Steel was intended to fill a gap found in popular commercial sound libraries. While several other products have metal hits and “found” percussion, none are extensively sampled and usable as individual, expressive instruments. The goal of this project was therefore to create a unique, detailed, and playable library with the same amount of multisampled detail one would expect from a high end percussion bank.

Impact Soundworks Resonance Emotional Mallets KONTAKT

Evocative, custom-made stone, metal, wood and glass instruments that range in timbre from warm and beautiful to haunting, spine-tingling, mournful and everything in between.

When we set out to create a new library built from custom, unique instruments, we were initially planning on just a few deep-sampled sounds. However, as the vision for Resonance became clearer, we decided that a whole collection of such deep-sampled instruments would be an incredible tool for all types of composers and producers working in any number of genres. As the recording sessions progressed, we constantly experimented with new techniques, mics and tools; each new sound we discovered was inspiring and had to be included.

Following in the proud tradition of our Shreddage guitar libraries comes Shreddage Bass, a high-octane picked electric bass library for KONTAKT 4 and open-source/cross-platform SFZ formats. Featuring a killer, flexible DI tone straight from a Music Man Sterling, Shreddage Bass is the perfect tool not just for rock and metal, but for jazz, disco, electronica or even pop. No complex scripting, keyswitches or MIDI CCs required – just load and play.

Impact Soundworks Shreddage Electric Rhythm Guitar KONTAKT

Shreddage is a DI guitar sample library like no other. Rather than trying to cover every possible technique or style, it is focused entirely on rhythm playing in a rock/metal style. The result of this intense design focus (and two full years of research and development) is an extremely playable and realistic instrument.
