“FM Drums Reloaded” packs together iconic and newly designed FM drum sounds. These kind of synthesis gained momentum in the 80s and had revival in 00s, to be brought to life again by various synth makers in the last few years. FM drums got a lot of love from 80s pop to 00s dub, downtempo and minimal techno producers. Their clean and sharp but still thick and defined sound always makes them present in the mix.
FM synthesis were developed during 60s by John Chowning, who was trying to create sounds different from analog synthesis. Yamaha eventually commercialised FM synthesis technology with the first FM digital synthesiser released in 1980. We have used legendary DX-7 to recreate some of the epic FM drum sounds using this synth, outboard compressor and eq. All was recorded through a HQ preamp to give you top notch and useful sounds.
In this pack you will find mighty FM toms, crystal clear and always cutting through mix hats and cymbals, characteristic snares, all kind of kicks, from subs to sharp impacts. All together you will find 87 loops sequenced with maximum attention to details and 58 FM drums and percussions one-shots.
