In January 2023, I bought a Fender Squier Competition Mustang and modded it by replacing its pickups. It should surprise no one that one of my first orders of business was to plug it into my Music Man amp and sample it. I originally recorded these samples for my own use, but I figured I might as well share them here as well.
There are two patches included here: a version created with a real amp, and a version that runs the DI signal through an amp simulation. It’s a pretty simple patch–there’s only one velocity layer–but it does have four round robins per note, which should come in handy for fast arpeggiated parts.
