Learn How To Recognize Tonalities, Intervals, Chords & Rhythms
Training your ears to identify intervals, chords, rhythms, and other musical nuances solely by hearing them is how musicians develop their ability to understand and interpret musical elements at a deeper level.
A very common misconception about “ear training” is that its all about developing 'perfect pitch' or being able to identify the name of a note just by hearing it played. While we'd all love to have that ability, ear training is more about being able to recognize the tonality of a chord, or identify a chord progression, recognize rhythmic patterns, or simply just being able to 'hear' when something sounds wrong or sounds right.
Taught by Berklee College of Music alumnus David Olivas, The Ear Training Workshop features five series of lessons covering everything from basic ear training concepts to terminology, and how to hear and read musical relationships.
David designed the course to help musicians identify what they are already capable of hearing and then build on that foundation to further refine their ability to recognize tonalities, intervals, rhythmic patterns, and many other practical applications that can be put to good use immediately.
You'll have all of TrueFire's advanced learning tools at your finger tips to personalize your workspace. You can loop, slow down, or speed up any section of a video lesson to learn at your own pace.
If you're ready to start developing “big ears”, let's dig in with David Olivas!
