The Quantum Room Simulator is a true algorithmic stereo reverb, building upon the legacy of the legendary German Room Simulator.
Offered in plug-in format for the first time in 40 years, the Quantum Room Simulator excels at enveloping the source with an incredibly natural sense of depth and realism. A favorite of artists such as Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush, the Quantum Room Simulator offers impeccably modeled analog character as well as many new features including expanded presets based on real-world rooms.
Description
The Quantum Room Simulator is a true algorithmic stereo reverb. All parameters are generated without the aid of convolution.
This plugin is inspired by the classic Room Simulator from 1982 that started it all, and still remains the favorite of many engineers and artists today!
Contains seven room size algorithms, ranging from a small closet to 100s Taj Mahal
Faithful emulation of the legendary room simulator algorithm
Freeze Mode for infinite reverb tails that never repeat
Enhance Mode for alternative reflection patterns
Configurable for Quadraphonic (4.0 Surround) with multiple stereo instances (true to the original hardware correlation patterns)
Faithfully modeled analog hardware stages, including 10kHz bandwidth option
Expanded presets, offering our True Resonance Mapping technology capable of emulating real-world spaces
The Quantum Room Simulator utilizes a unique and novel approach that makes it fundamentally different than the vast majority of reverb processors. By modeling the inherent resonances of a space, the room simulator provides all of the psychoacoustical cues necessary to create a believable room that follows the laws of physics, resulting in reverb that envelopes the source with an incredibly natural sense of depth and realism.
System Requirements:
Software is tested to be compatible with current versions of Pro Tools (Mac), Logic, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton*, and Reason (VST/AU/AAX-Mac).
Support for Windows Pro Tools (AAX) is coming soon!
Currently compatible with Mac macOS 10.13+ and Windows 10+. Optimized for Apple M1 chip architecture.
High-performance graphics card/chip recommended
Compatible with sample rates ranging from 44.1 kHz – 384 kHz.
