The Indispensable Rhythm Guitar Masterclass
A world-class guitarist, bassist and vocalist, Kenny Lee Lewis has not only been a producer, writer and band member with The Steve Miller Band since '82, he's performed, recorded, and/or written for Bonnie Raitt, Eddie Money, Dave Mason, Billy Preston, Peter Frampton, Boz Scaggs, Taj Mahal, Sheryl Crowe, Elvin Bishop, Paul McCartney, and a list of other top artists so long you'd have to scroll for days to scan them all.

We're thrilled to welcome Kenny Lee Lewis to the family with his first TrueFire course, Rhythm Renaissance. Tapping his unrivaled pedigree and diverse musicality, this ear-opening rhythm guitar masterclass will majorly boost your rhythm chops from the moment you start digging in.

”When thinking about rhythm guitar, I always tell guitar players to listen to – and craft a conversation – between the bass player, the drummer, and yourself. That's the art of crafting a 'musical dialog' – and that's what will spark a 'renaissance' in your own rhythm guitar playing.

We'll practice and play over a collection of fifteen different grooves, across a wide variety of popular styles. We'll start by analyzing what the bass player and drummer are doing, and then we'll craft our rhythm parts to make the rhythm section shine.

I'll share my go-to rhythm guitar strategies, pass on my favorite chord voicings, and show you how to 'serve the song' and establish a tight 'musical dialogue” to support the vocalist and lead instruments.”

Kenny's series of video lessons spans the spectrum of genres and grooves: Driving Rock Groove, Driving Rock Chorus, Swampy Hypnotic, Speedy Mambo, Hooks & Fills, Second Line Kitty, Lonestar Double, Adding Color in Rock Settings, Dead Man's Hand, Light R&B Funky, Light R&B Funky, Deep Funk, Tower Throwback, Garage Angst, Philosophy of the Working Musician, International Sheik, Driving Rocker, Frat Party Ska, and Tools of the Rhythm Guitar Trade.

Kenny will demonstrate and breakdown all of the rhythm guitar approaches in detail. Plus, you'll practice and play with Kenny, over live backing tracks for real-world musical context.

You'll have all of TrueFire's advanced learning tools at your finger tips to personalize your workspace and learn at your own pace.

You can loop, slow down, or speed up any section of a lesson. Plus, all of the tab and notation is synced to the videos for the optimal learning experience. You'll also get tab and standard notation files to print out, Guitar Pro files, and all of the backing tracks to practice with.

Grab your guitar, and let's dig in with Kenny Lee Lewis!
