Funk up your playing
With a focus on syncopated strumming patterns, fretting-hand string muting, and some practical music theory, you’ll leave this class equipped with a simple framework to create your own funk songs, spice up your chordal playing, and learn how to lock into a groove.

Jude Smith is a Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter. After rising to Instagram stardom through his tastefully funky guitar playing, Jude released a catalog of self-produced music that has amassed over 1 million streams.
Who is this class for?
This class is best suited for intermediate guitarists. Funk isn’t a complex genre on a music theory level, but there’s a lot to digest rhythm-wise. At minimum, you should be comfortable with bar chords and basic syncopated strumming.
