Skitter and Step inhabits the space where growling basses, rinsing pads and jarring melodies collide with jagged, broken percussion. The cavernous spaces, dubby basses and tight drums are ready for production but were designed for deep sound manipulation.
Developed by Ableton in collaboration with sound designers including Ian McDonnell, Dean Rodell and Dara Smith, this curated collection puts everything you need to create tracks in one place. Drum Racks are packed with precise low end, snares and stabs, letting you craft tracks laced with shifting rhythms, pinpoint melodies and eerie sound effects without interruption to your creativity. A wide selection of Instrument Racks delivers basses, leads and textures that evoke a range of moods.
Also included are over 120 audio loops and MIDI clips ranging from screaming leads, deep ambiences, and barking basses to chopped drum breaks and full beats carefully selected to spark your imagination, kickstart your tracks and add life and detail to your production.
Designed for flow
The Pack is set up for sparking ideas and keeping you in your flow. Eight Macros are carefully set up for creative tweaking and sound design for each instrument - especially from Push. Use the effects chains in the included Drum kits and Instrument Racks to turn your low end from big and boomy to focused and tight, and much more.

Skitter and Step has been refreshed with 282 new MIDI clips, including a new Tonal category featuring basslines, melodies, chord progressions and more.
