Since its inception in the early '80s, the genre of zouk has undergone only a few major changes. Originating in Guadeloupe and Martinique, zouk is a melding of several music genres including kadans, kompa, and biguine. These days, zouk resembles more of a slow-tempo kompa, with a very sensual pace and romantic lyrics to match.
Gouyad is our offering of authentic zouk music. Producer and instrumentalist Evenson Vincent put his foot into this pack with 45 drum loops, 15 melodic loops (with stems), and about 119 one-shots of keyboards, synths, and various drum sounds from his drum set.
