As you play your way through this versatile vocabulary of licks, phrases, and chord moves you'll discover that each of these licks can be twisted, turned, and otherwise tweaked to make them your own and to fit any musical setting.
”Over the years, I've been very fortunate to play and record across a wide variety of genres including traditional and new country, blues, jazz, rockabilly, and Western swing. Throughout this collection of 30 licks, I'll showcase a handful of my favorite approaches for soloing and improvisation -- whatever style I happen to be playing -- using techniques like chicken pickin', triple stop moves, licks that mimic the sound of a pedal steel, chord moves to help you get that sophisticated jazzy sound and much more.”
Redd will pass on a variety of approaches for contrary motion, counterpoint, and there's even a handful of “those cool, weird sounding licks” too. You'll play this collection of 30 licks over shuffles, western swing grooves, waltzes, a ballad, and two beat grooves, in a variety of keys and tempos. Redd will perform each lick over a backing track, and then break it down for you in detail.
Redd will explain and demonstrate all of the key concepts and approaches for each lick along the way. You'll get standard notation and tabs for everything. Plus, you'll be able to use TrueFire's learning tool to sync the tab and notation to the video and can also loop or slow down the videos so that you can work with the lessons at your own pace. All the backing tracks are included to work with on your own as well.
