These programs are ‘based off of’ a pair of rack mounted, ultra clean and clear compressors, which are essentially remakes of the channel compressors that were found in the famous ’9k’ desks. These are very transparent compressors, but if they do add any color to the sound it might be a slight slickness to the high end, or a bit of air. With several dBs of gain reduction, other compressors can start to sound congested in the mids/bass, but these still sound clear and open. They can also be used to give very snappy attacks to percussive elements. These qualities have translated well to the Nebula realm. Two modules were sampled in a stereo configuration.

This sampling is part of the Microphone Locker Series. These presets need to be combined with my various preamps to really shine. They sound harsh on their own as I used very transparent tools to sample them, but plug them ‘virtually’ into one of my preamps to get them to sound right. A bright mic needs a soft preamp like the E-M-EYE and a smoother mic like the ribbons I offer need perhaps the brighter pres like the TCS ( API ). Up to you to experiment but that is why having the full array of my preamps can turn this collection into a powerful sound sculpting arsenal. Sampled with ‘Prismsound Orpheus’ precision you will not be disappointed. Provided in 192 khz, 96 khz and 44.1 khz. 9 presets. Library size is 272 MB. 10 distortion kernels. 3 distances. Cupwise Frequency Tweakers B Philco Tube Amp For Nebula-MAGNETRiXX

An old Philco 6-tube amplifier has been extensively sampled to use as a unique tone-shaping tool in Nebula. Much time and effort went into making sure that the end results were faithful to the hardware, which sounds great, and was sold with several phonograph consoles (model G1708, for example) back in the 50′s. It was sampled in 3 different hardware setups (using Lynx Aurora), for 3 different flavors. For all 3, the unit’s bass and treble knobs were sampled so that Nebula could recreate the behavior of the unit across all possible combinations of the two. The ‘bass’ knob mostly acts as an adjustable high pass, and ‘treble’ as a shelf. Together they can also be used to create ’tilt-like’ eq setups (check the freq response graphs in manual to see what’s possible).

This library came about through the frustration of having to use quite a few plugins ITB to get a good kick sound. In my studio I had lying around one of the EW Kick pads and decided to make a library using it. Using 6 classy preamps to form the basis of the sounds this library will give you a first class acoustic kick sound. Preamps used were GML, Safesound P1, a Valve preamp, Broadhurst gardens one, Neve 1073 and the 5033 as a line input. Two clean – no preamp settings are given as well.
