Bullyfinger Vinyl 808 WAV

So we wanted to do something special with our 808 sound set. This time we aren't using any 12-bit samplers or cassette, but vinyl! We pressed the entire sound set to a nice 7" that plays at 45rpm, wore it out a little bit and then sampled it through our outboard gear. So this time around we ran tons of our booming 808 style kicks through a vintage Ampex 1/4" tape machine. All of our favorite analog drum machines, 80's drum brains and modern eurorack modules have been added to this collection. Captured at both a medium clean setting and then in the red right before distortion for a nice saturated sound. Perfect to use as is or you can further process these "808s" with your favorite gear or plug-ins to taste. Boom Boom. Tape 808s.
