In this tutorial, esteemed producer Nick will walk you through the basic ways you can create drums in Ableton Live. There are many tools in this DAW that make drum creation simple and fun.
First, Nick will create a groovy house beat using Ableton Live’s Drum Rack. He’ll go in-depth on why Drum Racks are useful, highlighting tips about hot swapping samples and other things along the way. Later in the video, Nick will switch to Ableton’s arrangement view to make a drum beat with audio clips – allowing you to see the waveform of each sample and visualize the drum beat more clearly.
