Because we all loved the ’80s….
We felt compelled to give you a little taste of your childhood. A little taste of the sounds that got you into music, or for you young ones, the nostalgic hip sounds that are resurfacing right now.
Inspired by the classic drums sound of Phil Collins, Tears for Fears, Don Henley, Madonna, ‘Til Tuesday, and Springsteen. These drums are reminiscent of these 1985 records but with a modernized feel for today’s music.
1985 Drum Samples comes with 5 Toms, 6 Concert Toms, 2 Kicks, 3 Snares, Hats and Cymbals all in muli velocity. We cut these drums in a huge room on Neve preamps with top shelf condenser and ribbon microphones. We then mixed them with some 1985 flair through an AMS RMX16 reverb.
This pack contains multi-velocity samples mixed as Dry, Natural, Big and 2 AMS settings for classic mid ’80s sound. You will also receive 33 Radical Clap sounds straight from that era and 25 reversed drum sounds.
The Deluxe Version contains all of the samples plus the Presets.
