Ableton Live lends itself to some wild sonic manipulation and sound design, and in this video tutorial series, EDM music producer Timothy Allan shows you some of his coveted tips and tricks for making unique and crazy sounds.
After a brief introduction, Timothy demonstrates how to create single and multiple cycle synths from your existing sample collection, followed by extreme warping techniques, showing you how to make complex sounding textures with Ableton Live's Warp engine.
After that, Timothy reveals how to use multiple instances of the Max4Live LFO to generate randomized effects, as well as how to create a complex, single knob macro to map any devices you want, for creative control.
Moving on, Tim shows you how to go crazy with the ability to unlink clip envelopes and run each in their own timeline.
Finally, Timothy explores how to use the Max4Live Convolution Reverb to mangle sounds and create something brand new.
