Hello! This is Paul. Welcome to the school! As a member, you have access to everything on the site, and there is a lot! So let me tell you about how it works, and what is available. First, there are the LESSONS (Fundamental, Intermediate, and Advanced.) Even if you've been playing a long time, I recommend going through the fundamentals. Next, are the Video Exchanges. A Video Exchange (VE), is when a student sends in a video "question" and I reply with a video "answer." These are paired together, and available for everyone to learn from. The archive (VIDEO EXCHANGES button) has over 2000 VEs, and continues to grow. Thankfully, there is search feature to help you find any subject that you are looking for. You can also check out the Student Page of any student to see what VEs they have in their FAVORITES. This is a good way to find some of the "greatest hits" from the VE archive.

And of course, you can upload a video to make our own Video Exchange. There are points in the lessons where I give a reminder to send in a VE, but I'm happy to hear you play at any time. One of the best parts of this site is that the teaching is done by a human being (me!), but please keep in mind that I occasionally go on tour and make new albums, so sometimes my response to your video can take a couple of weeks. If you need an immediate response, please write to me in "Ask Paul" section of the FORUMS. I check "Ask Paul" nearly every day, to answer quick questions. Also, you can check out the RECENT VIDEO EXCHANGES to see where I am in the world (sometimes teaching from a hotel room, backstage, or even the backseat of a car!), and to see what I am teaching to the other students.

In other features, make sure to click on +MUSIC, to see interviews that I've done with other musicians (the longer interviews are in the SPECIAL GUESTS section.)

I sometimes jump into the CHAT room to say hello, and the SHOUT OUTS are a good way to post a quick comment on the main page of the site.

I look forward to getting to know you and your guitar playing. Let's have a great time!

Rock and Roll!

Hi and welcome to Paul's online rock guitar school. You're going to get a great boost in your guitar playing ability right here. To get the most out of his school, send Paul a video (when you are ready) so he can give you some individualized feedback. Also, take a few moments to fill out your Student Profile (above) so we can get to know you. And contact Customer Service if you need anything at all! – Dawn, ArtistWorks
